
From Fundraising to Medical Equipment: June’s Charity Initiatives Support Cancer-Stricken Children

We would like to share a report on charitable assistance for children with cancer, carried out in June by Serhii Zosimenko’s team and the PO EVUM, in collaboration with international sponsors and with the participation of Speroteck.
1. Serhii Zosimenko, PO EVUM, Sperotek team together with the Chernihiv IT cluster, held a charity campaign to raise funds for medicines for children with cancer, thanks to which more than UAH 100,000 was collected and vital medicines were purchased.
2. The PO EVUM team received and delivered medical equipment donated by UKSH and Rotary Kiel, worth 30,000 euros, to the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital, the Department of Hematology, and the Lviv Hospital of St. Nicholas.
3. With the support of international sponsors, the PO EVUM team installed vital activity monitors in children’s wards for the amount of UAH 1,786,814 and the Central Station for nurses’ posts for the amount of UAH 128,400. A portable ultrasound device worth UAH 352,000, a tablet worth UAH 10,748, three resuscitation carts for nurses in the manipulation room worth UAH 81,000 were purchased and assembled.
4. With the help of Speroteck and international sponsors in the implementation of projects to equip the oncology department of the St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv with medical equipment, infusion pumps were purchased for the amount of UAH 231,075
5. With the help of Speroteck and international sponsors, wonderful holidays were held for children: birthdays and children’s discharges, McDonald’s Treat Day, Cake Tasting Day, and a Charity Event with Ukrainian Flags — children placed their handprints on the flags, which were then sent to a charity auction in the USA.
6. Also, Serhii Zosimenko’s team and the PO EVUM held negotiations with potential donors, signed a memorandum with UWAA (Chicago) on cooperation and charitable assistance within the project, which will take place on August 10, held negotiations with the Western Ukrainian Center and Okhmatdit about involvement in providing assistance to these hospitals.
