Therefore, the company was faced with the task of as quickly as possible forming teams from additional specialists, QA and PM, who can effectively work on those projects directly.
Our mentors from the BigCommerce department, Ilya Provolovsky, Oleksandr Bistritsky, Artur Nikolaenko and Mikita Ilyin, analyzed developers by technology and level that those possess at the moment, according to this they selected a theoretical basis for teaching and, of course, created practical tasks for better assimilation of the material.
As a result, 4 development groups, a QA group and a PM group were formed. The training lasted for about a month and was conducted in the most flexible and convenient format: first, several introductory meetings were held, where the mentors provided general information about the BigCommerce platform, the main technologies used. They also shared necessary useful materials and answered questions.
Further communication was conducted in group chats, and calls were made upon request when there were any questions from theory or practice. Mentors checked each completed task, made comments if necessary or suggested how to find a more successful and optimal solution.
