A Small Story of a Great Victory – Maksym Poliansky.
Date
We all love happy stories with a happy ending. But the fact is that in real life it does not always happen like that, unfortunately. Especially in those stories where there are six terrible letters – cancer…
But today we’re willing to share with you a happy story, the story of the VICTORY of the cute little boy Maksym. He successfully coped with all the tests, and this little hero is no longer in the hospital, he is at home with his happy parents.
And, of course, there is your contribution to this story.
Further, according to Serhiy Zosimenko, he was by the boy’s side even in the most difficult times, and of course on the Back Home even.
Our main character is Maksym Poliansky, a 7 years old boy, diagnosis — tumor of the central nervous system. In July 2023, the boy was treated in Ivano-Frankivsk. He underwent a bone marrow transplant in Lviv.
“I am sitting in the resident’s room with the doctors, looking at the monitor and working on another report on charity assistance. Suddenly the door opens and a boy appears on the threshold. He is short, thin, holding a fluffy toy in his hands, his face is covered with a mask, and above it shiny bright eyes that captivate everyone who meets their gaze.
The boy approaches me, rolls back the chair a little, and then climbs right onto my lap and hugs me tightly. Silently. Everyone in the office freezes, because no one has ever done this before.
I ask where his mother is. He answers: “She’s in the kitchen, cooking something.” I ask if he is sad. He sighs and says “Yes.” And then suddenly says: “Do you want to see my toy?” “Sure, little one!”It was the beginning of a great and sincere friendship.
Maksymka is really a hero, he suffered a lot during all this time in the hospital. Chemotherapy and procedures – all this became a daily routine for him. But, despite all the difficulties, he almost never cried. And his cherished dream is simply to return home.
And yes, now all the trials are over, because a couple of weeks ago, the results of the tests came – which were a lucky ticket for the child to return to his usual life! Together with his parents and all the medical staff, we prepared a real holiday for Maxim with bright balloons and, of course, a yummy cake.
Thank you all for your donations and constant help to the department, because of you each of these children has a real chance for recovery!”
And yes, in this story we can definitely write – HAPPY END!
